Spiggie
House consists of two separate living quarters with part of the
house used by the owners, Dave and Jan Winter. The visitors
accommodation has a separate entrance, ensuring total privacy, however
Dave and Jan are on hand if required to help make your stay as
comfortable as possible. Spiggie House is a working Shetland
smallholding with Shetland sheep, goats Tilly and Tegan, and Percy the
cockerel with his Shetland hens (their unusual green eggs are included
in the welcome pack), brown hens and bantams, also not forgetting our
cats Holly and Willow. All our animals are very friendly and adore
visitors.
The Accommodation:
The visitors accommodation consists of a box-bedroom with double
bed, living room with a fold-down sofa, bathroom and kitchen, and is
ideal for couples but can sleep up to four. The accommodation has
undergone extensive refurbishment, and is decorated to the highest
standards. Facilities include cooker, microwave, washing machine,
Satellite TV, DVD player, reference books and some games (just in
case the rain should visit!) The house complies with all
health and safety requirements, and as such a fire extinguisher and a
first aid kit are provided.
