Terms
and conditions of hire:
The
following terms and conditions of hire are considered to have been read
and accepted when making a booking, it is recommended that you print out
this agreement for your records.

In
2009, bookings are made for whole week hires, on a Friday to
Friday basis;
From 2010 bookings will be made for whole week hires, on a
Saturday to Saturday basis.

Subject
to availability of dates, and at our discretion, we may accept
bookings for long weekends or short breaks, prices for these and
acceptance of such bookings will be advised on application;

A
£50.00 non refundable deposit is required to secure and confirm
your booking;

If
you have not paid in full prior to your arrival, settlement is
required within the first three days of your stay, please note we do
not take credit or debit cards;

On the day of arrival, entry into the
accommodation is after 2pm. We will be more than happy to look
after your belongings should you wish to drop them off;

On
the day of departure, please vacate the accommodation by
10.00am. We will be more than happy to look after your
belongings should you wish to leave them and pick them up later in
the day;

Free
transport service: While we will strive to assist you and
provide you with this service, please note that on occasion we may
be unable to provide this do to other commitments. We cannot
accept any liability for additional costs that you may incur through
obtaining alternative transport should this occur.

In
the event of any breakages occurring, please let us know as soon as
possible in order that they may be replaced;

Dogs:
All dogs are welcome, but please be aware that Spiggie House is a
working small farm and is surrounded by crofting (farming) land. If
your dog attacks or causes distress to any livestock, the farmers do
have the right to put your dog down. Dogs are allowed off the lead
around Shetland but it is your responsibility to look after them.
Dogs are allowed in the apartment, but we request that they are not
allowed on sofas or beds and ideally sleep in the kitchen overnight.
Any damage caused by pets will incur a replacement charge.
